Got this as a fathers day present and have used it almost weekly since. Although it takes a little getting used to, operating the device gets a little easier over time. The default settings (margarita, slides, etc...) are decent, but I believe most people will either customize their drink a little or a lot depending on the consistency you prefer. I have found the ice shaving feature very useful, especially considering the heat this summer! I have taken to making ice slushies and snow cone-ish drinks for the kids. My only (minor) issues with the device so far have been cleaning it without cutting my finger (watch out for the ice-shaving blade) and the noise level it puts off while making drinks. The noise is more of an issue inside than out, but has the potential to wake up kids if you are entertaining after they are in bed...
